Brass hot-forging
Hot-forging of brass using certified raw materials for the manufacturing of plumbing fittings
For each production of brass plumbing fittings, only certified brass bars are used, which are cut and pressed into molds.
With both domestic and international customers, our company also manufactures and sells brass components and fittings for third parties.
To ensure accuracy of hot stamping and the production of perfectly identical mass-produced products, RubiZeta takes care of the mold design itself.
To produce its items in-house RubiZeta has an assorted and modern number of hot-forging machines.
Brass hot-forging is process that exploits the remarkable plasticity characteristics of the brass allowing its deformation once is heated.
List of hot-forging machines:
- 1 PRABER PRESS of 200 tons
- 1 HYDROMEC PRESS of 250 tons
- 1 PRABER PRESS of 400 tons
This machining process has the advantage of obtaining a product with increasingly precise tolerances which are guaranteed throughout production, as well as the possibility of making components with very complex geometries.
All the moulds are designed in-house in compliance with the latest technology on the market.
Mould management and design
Our technical department carefully examines the drawing of the part to be realised from which the study of the mould starts, with the purpose of optimizing to the maximum the design of all necessary toolings.
Besides checking the customer's design, we are willing to offer consulting services on new projects.
Brass features
The main characteristics of brass, an alloy of copper and zinc are: high mechanical strenght, ductility and good corrosion resistance.
Over the years the international market has also evolved to choose special low-lead alloys for an increasingly pressing "green" transition.
